Position Description

 

 

POSITION:            Dayton High School Head Boys Volleyball Coach

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be at least 21 years of age

• High School Graduate

• CPR and first aid certified

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs to shoulder height occasionally

• Coaching experience preferred

 

 

REPORTS TO:       Athletic Director and administration

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Determined by specific sport season during academic calendar year.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Keep accurate record of equipment and inventory all uniforms assigned to athletes

2. Responsible for practices, scheduling, and overseeing all aspects of Dayton High School sport athletes

3. In charge of all fundraising projects

4. Must be certified in all areas required by KHSAA

5. Attend meets/games as scheduled

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Work collaboratively with other coaches
2. Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with KHSAA and school guidelines
3. Establish and communicate clear team policies to parent and players before the beginning of the season
4. Maintain positive relations with students & parents.
5. Model proper dress, language, demeanor and student/teacher relations
